I’ve stood there, with my life spinning around me like a whirlwind out of control. What started as a faint breeze has now become a storm that is out of my control. And in that moment, you can’t look around for help, because all you see is the flurry of mess. You can’t stay where you are and stand still, because you will be consumed by the problem that surrounds you. In that moment, raise your head up and look up…there is where you’re help comes from. Call on the name above all names, the one who can rescue you from the storm and place you on dry land. The one who has anchored himself to you so you won’t drift too far and you won’t drown. Call on Jesus. Today. Call on him. His is the only way to peace and calm. Here is a great old song for you to get lost in and raise your hands in surrender to the one who saves. Call on Jesus..

When I don’t know what to do
I’ll lift my hands
When I don’t know what to say
I’ll speak Your praise
When I don’t know where to go
I’ll run to Your throne
When I don’t know what to think
I’ll stand on Your truth
When I don’t know what to doVerse 1
Lord I surrender all
To Your strong and faithful hand
In everything I will give thanks to You
I’ll just trust Your perfect planVerse 2

Though I’ll never understand

As I bow my knee
Send Your perfect peace
Send Your perfect peace Lord
As I lift my hands
Let Your healing come
Let Your healing come to me
Take Courage…
When a light wind began blowing from the south, the sailors thought they could make it. So they pulled up anchor and sailed close to the shore of Crete. But the weather changed abruptly, and a wind of typhoon strength (called a “northeaster”) burst across the island and blew us out to sea. The sailors couldn’t turn the ship into the wind, so they gave up and let it run before the gale. Acts 27:13-15
No one had eaten for a long time. Finally, Paul called the crew together and said, “Men, you should have listened to me in the first place and not left Crete. You would have avoided all this damage and loss. But take courage! None of you will lose your lives, even though the ship will go down. For last night an angel of the God to whom I belong and whom I serve stood beside me, and he said, ‘Don’t be afraid, Paul, for you will surely stand trial before Caesar! What’s more, God in his goodness has granted safety to everyone sailing with you.’ So take courage! For I believe God. It will be just as he said. Acts 27:21-25
