Sometimes even spending time in your daily devotions can become mundane… usual…ordinary. God wants your heart to connect with His. He longs to be near to you. So, before your begin your day today, turn on a worship song, close your eyes and let God speak to your heart.
Stop, wait and hear what I say. I watched over you from the beginning. I cared for you and my heart cried out for you. I chased after you and at the very moment you needed me the most, I was there and revealed myself to you. I see who you are from the inside out and I love you. Oh how I long for our quiet time when our hearts connect and you experience the great, everlasting power of my love… Let me wash away all of the sadness and hurt. Let me remind you of who you are. You’re my child. Come today and get carelessly lost in my care for you. I’ll keep my grip tight. I won’t drop you. Come now and draw near to your father’s heart….
Can you imagine the Samaritan woman’s heart and how desperate she must have been for someone to love her, just the way she was? Jesus took the time with her to speak to her heart, He knew everything about her and He still cared for her. As a result, others believed and were saved. You have, in you, a story and the heart of our God and as a result, others will be saved. Go tell your story! Have a great day being carelessly lost in His care for you.
“Come, see a man who told me everything I ever did. Could this be the Messiah?”
Many of the Samaritans from that town believed in him because of the woman’s testimony, “He told me everything I ever did.”
They said to the woman, “We no longer believe just because of what you said; now we have heard for ourselves, and we know that this man really is the Savior of the world.” (John 4:29, 39, 42 NIV)
